Functional Neurosurgery

AdTech are the market leaders in the manufacture of epilsepsy and other nerve monitoring electrodes. In video telemetry, epileptic patients are monitored via electrodes that sit either on the surface (the cortex) of the brain or inside the brain to observe the precise electrical origin of the seizures that they experience. By recording electrical impulses that are picked up by the AdTech electrodes, the neurosurgeon can precisely locate the electrical focus of the seizure and then create a surgical lesion at that location to disturb the electrical pathway that the seizure takes.
